eMentoring is an exciting online professional support service for students.
A fully trained team of eMentors work online to offer help, information, advice and guidance to all students in an inclusive, non-judgmental atmosphere.
Students contact the eMentor team with questions about homework, coursework, some personal problems or just general queries. The eMentors work quickly and efficiently to support the student in finding routes to solutions to their problems.
The eMentors encourage and stimulate learning by making the online experience human and welcoming. They offer intelligent, appropriate learning solutions to all kinds of educational questions - but, they do not give out the answers!! Their role is to support the student as they learn - not to do it for them!
eMentors have time and patience for students who sometimes need to be given a little extra 'space' to work out their problems, whether these are academic or pastoral.
The eMentors do not offer a confidential service to students; if they feel that a matter is dangerous, illegal or of sufficient seriousness to be shared with the student's school, Social Services or the Police, then the matter will be passed on immediately to be dealt with by the most appropriate agency.
